Packing tools and hardware

The best way to pack smaller tools is in a tool box like one you purchase from your hardware store. A tool box will not only protect your tools but will also keep them organized during your move. For heavier tools, you can use large bags with zipper closure or you can wrap the item in bubble wrap before packing it inside a box.
Hardware should be packed in a secure tool box, or you can place nails, screws, and drill bits into jars to prevent them from spilling and mixing during transit. Seal each jar securely and pack them into a small box, lined with packing paper. We recommend using additional packing paper between jars to prevent impact fractures.
